Introduction to differential equations, separable equations, homogenous equations, exact equations, first order equations, Matrices and determinants, system of linear equations, homogenous systems, vector spaces, cofactors, Cramer rule, characteristic values and characteristic vectors, linear differential equations, complex solutions, Cauchy-Euler equations, non-homogenous differential equations, the method of undetermined coefficients, the method of variation of parameters, Laplace transform and its applications to differential equations.  
Aims
• To learn how to classify the differential equations.
• To learn how to solve the first order differential equations and higher order linear equations.
• To know the properties of the Laplace transform and how to use it in solving IVP.
• To understand properties of matrices, determinants, and how to solve a linear system.
• To understand the vector spaces, the dimensions, the kernels, and the linear transformations.
• To understand the characteristic values, eigen vectors, and diagonalizations.
